Movies are a great source of entertainment that we offer at the library. I, myself, like to encourage reading however.
So many of the hit movies today are based on novels. Being able to suggest to patrons different books to try depending
on the movies that they like would be a great asset to any librarian. There are so many websites designed to suggest
authors to readers based on the authors one already enjoys, but what about movies???
After creating a list of DVDs and movies offered in the library, one is able to determine which are based on books.
In this case I was able to utilize the online catalog to determine the source of many of these titles. For those movies
that are not based on books, one can make suggestions like those I demonstrate here.
